Healthy hydration plays a huge role in overall body wellness. Continually poisoning our blood supply and digestive tract can only lead to a bad end. Learn to drink for your health.
A significant amount of the human body is water. This body water is distributed in different ways through out your body. Healthy muscle tissue contains about 75% water. Blood, 83% water, body fat contains 25% water and bone has about 22% water.
So if what you drink affects you in such a huge way, don't you think it would be wise to be more careful with what you drink?
Every one should have a water filter in their home. I recommend these.
You need to determine what your needs are then buy the one that meets it.
What we drink helps or hurts the way our cells function.
Think about your car. Lets say you have one of those hot rod sports cars that burn high octane. You go out on the town one night and while driving, it begs you to punch it.
You pull up to this light and some guy who thinks he's tough pulls up next to you and lets you know he wants you to blow his doors off. You being the understanding person you are decide to oblige him and as the light turns green you floor it.
But it just starts sputtering and popping. The other guy leaves you in his dust. Then you remember your buddy told you about that gas you've been buying at that cheap station. He said he'd had problems with trash in the gas.
YOU DIDN'T LISTEN!
If you are active and are drinking sports drinks, STOP!! Again as you use up the nutrients in your blood supply, recharge you system with life giving nutrients. This links you to the proper fluid.
I don't even know where to start with this. The amount of drinkable items is so big and the advertisements promoting them makes it hard to tell what is really good. Most are just plain BAD.
So lets start with carbonated beverages.
BAD!!!!! I say again BAD!!!!!
Carbonated water in any drink is hard on your kidneys. The sugar in one drink exceeds what you should be consuming all day. All those energy drinks, consume with caution. Many are laced with extra sugar and caffeine.
I like the 100% juice myself. Do some shopping. You will honestly be surprised what is available. Don't forget juicing. Here is an excellent juicer and some with juicing recipes. Juicers are also an excellent way to get your 8 a day.
There are some really great 100% juice drinks also, many being organic. Don't be afraid to try something new. The more creative you are the greater the chance your family will favor the switch.
Yes I still drink a soda occasionally. It's just not one of our first 3 choices. To me first it's water, juice, milk, organic tea unsweetened, and then a nice decaffeinated root beer float. (I'm still human)
Remember about making small healthy choices. Each healthy decision again gives you one more mark in favor of your immune system which is what you are trying to achieve.
You can't overlook how important this is. Many people are dehydrated and don't even know it. Do you know many people who use a lot of cream because they have dry skin? I'll bet they are somewhat dehydrated.
The next time your skin is dry notice if your lips are dry also. Our mucus membranes are the first to suffer from lack of fluid. We have 5 of them. Eyes, nose, and mouth on the top. 2 more on your bottom. Dry eyes and dry sinuses are an indication of dehydration.
When your lips get chapped don't just apply something to sooth the dryness, get a glass of pure filtered water. I have a water filter pitcher in my fridge that does a tremendous job. Where I live we already have relatively good water so I don't need the same as someone who has a shallow well.
And about those bottled waters. Bad news. Many are simply tap water from another city. Go online and do some investigating. No not all are rip offs.
One way though to be safe is get a water filter. You will be surprised how much better filtered water tastes. Who knows, you might get healthy at the same time.
Your immune system will thank you. Your skin will be softer and your digestive tract will work better. Remember all those chemicals you laced your food with? Many are still trapped in your intestines. Flush that stuff out of there.
Healthy hydration is the key that starts every thing else working.
