MEAT !!! - To Eat or Not To Eat
Healthy meat has to do with something we need to be concerned with. Way too much of our meat supply has unhealthy or unnecessary additives.
This page is about chemical additives in our meat supply.

O.K. Am I about to slam meat? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! What would a cookout be without ribs, sausage, or chicken. How do those of us who do eat meat get together and have our ritual of sacrificing on the pit without meat? Big juicy hunks of prime meat calling to us from the grocery shelves. Somehow I can just smell that aroma as the grease drips down onto the grates of the grill and I feel faint. The chicken skin grilled crisp and the bbq sauce we use coats the delicate pieces as they simmer to perfection. It's Saturday, the game is on and we tell ourselves, "this is the way it's supposed to be!" But when is the last time you really looked closely at the packaging to see if they have added anything? I'll bet most of the population isn't either aware or concerned. I was at my local grocery store and I started looking at all the packaged meat. Most had some form of additive to keep it from spoiling. I know, you don't want it to spoil. OK, freeze what you aren't going to cook.
Lets talk about the bbq pit. Do you use gas or charcoal? Good news bad news. All you pit freaks who use charcoal are putting yourselves at risk. That taste on the meat that says it tastes better, well it causes cancer. If you use a smoker and you put those wet wood chips on the grate to make it smoke, do this for me. Find a place where the smoke comes out at a steady amount and lean down and inhale it for about 45 mins. YOU WON'T MAKE IT!!!! That same choking smoke is being absorbed into the meat and it is getting absorbed by your intestines and I already told you about all this. You're depleting your immune system. Why take the trouble of finding healthy meat and then contaminate it on your pit! GET GAS literally.
I'm going to change directions here. It doesn't matter to me what excuses you can come up with. Chemicals or other additives are additives. Some are very toxic. MSG is a terrible additive that gives me headaches that don't go away for sometimes days. My entire family is trained to look for this additive when buying groceries. The Blaylock Wellness Report just did this big writeup on this very subject. Check this website out for free. info.newsmax.com What you should be buying is NATURAL meat, organic meat, or at least kosher. Healthy meat is healthy meat. Do the best you can with your choices. Make every effort to do the best you can with what's available. You need to get into the habit of reading labels. If the grocer doesn't carry a variety of these meats ask him to get on the wagon and into the age of living chemical free. The bottom line is start looking for healthy meat and eat to your health.
And I have this one personal opinion that I am going to include and you can make of it what you want. I eat very, very, very, little pork. I personally don't have it included in my choices of healthy meat.
