The good, Now the BAD !!
I know this is a lot of reading, but I want to make sure you have an opportunity to examine the benefits but also the risks about eating fish. I want to you to be able go straight to the source.
  1. source #1
  2. source #2
  3. source #3

These are the facts about what seafood is healthy. I have included these web sites because REAL information is better than your next door neighbor who just had a heart attack. I highly recommend that you study these sites carefully.

I was thinking, would we eat a diseased animal if we knew about it? OF COURSE NOT!!

So for the same reason we should only eat healthy (safe) fish. Don't be confused. Healthy fish may not always be safe, and safe fish may not always be healthy. Here's the reason.

Some of our lakes and rivers are polluted and all varieties of fish are contaminated. Avoid all fish in these waters.

You can check with your local department of fisheries to find any off limit lakes, streams, or rivers. They send out alerts when they know of a problem.

So to wrap up, eating healthy seafood does two things.
1: Healthy seafood provides essential minerals and nutrients you can only get from healthy fish. Just like vitamins, the closer to the source, the higher the quality of the nutrient.
2: It just might give you a reason to spend more time fishing.

Get yourself a good cookbook and make sure you get those organic spices. Cook to your health and have a great time doing it.
